Magento Enterprise and JD Edwards Integration Summary
Alta Genetics prides themselves on being the global leader in high quality reproductive and herd management products and services for the beef and dairy cattle industry. After engaging Briteskies for an eCommerce upgrade and integration, they again trusted the Briteskies team with revamping their ordering process globally, beginning initially with their Brazilian sale force. In order to streamline the Brazilian ordering process, Alta required a Magento Enterprise and JD Edwards integration, a Briteskies specialty.
Before engaging Briteskies, the Brazilian order process was almost completely manual. Order forms were faxed, emailed or phoned from the field to a regional representative, who would then pass the forms to order entry personnel in North America, after which the order was input into JD Edwards. Alta needed a more efficient and user-friendly approach for their internal sales representatives to access product information and manage the order process.
The Briteskies team utilized Magento Enterprise functionality to develop a streamlined UI focused on order placement. The Briteskies development team leveraged already established order integrations and added integration points created for the loading of customer data from Alta Genetics’ JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system. This allows for entry personnel to input orders directly into the back end, JD Edwards E1 system, using a UI optimized for their order placement process.
This solution drastically streamlined Alta’s order to cash lifecycle and has since been rolled out to the international sales force in over ten countries.
