Briteskies Assists Launch of ‘Design a Ring’ on Jared.com

Briteskies is pleased to announce the launch of ‘Design A Ring’ to a leading brand of Sterling Jewelers’, Jared.com. This project extended services that were previously only available in the physical Jared stores by allowing customers to design and purchase a custom engagement ring in Jared’s o
nline store.
Over the span of several months, Briteskies was involved with the design through implementation phases working with a hybrid team at Sterling’s Akron headquarters. As part of the joint team, Briteskies was specifically able to offer it’s expertise with the existing Jared.com platform, WebSphere Commerce, as well as integration of the product into Sterling’s legacy back office systems.
Leveraging many features of this industry leading ECommerce platform, the team was able to integrate Jared’s existing web store with an interactive micro-site to provide a first class customer experience in designing and purchasing a custom engagement ring. The micro-site allows customers to choose from hundreds of settings and thousands of diamonds. The wide selection of diamonds also features actual diamond images, industry standard grading reports, and a virtual loupe to provide customers with many features previously only available in the brick and mortar stores. As the customer builds their perfect ring they can preview their diamond and setting combination through a generated superimposed image. Once the customer has assembled their dream engagement ring, they are seamlessly integrated back to the Jared shopping cart for a secure and painless checkout process.
