Senior Java J2EE Developer / Programmer / Architect

Job Description:

Preferred Technical Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong development experience utilizing Java and J2EE and should be well versed in the fundamentals of the Java programming language and the J2EE specification in multiple environments. Should have good working knowledge of Servlets, JSP, MVC frameworks, and UML and have experience with their implementation in a production environment. Experience with JMS, EJB, and web services, Hibernate, Spring Framework, Struts Framework, and Eclipse Framework experience are preferable along with a familiarity with common developer tools such as Ant, version control system, etc… is desired. Good working knowledge of SQL is imperative. Should have experience utilizing best practices and have worked with industry standard design patterns.

We prefer knowledge and experience using IBM products such as WebSphere Application Studio, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Commerce, WebSphere Portal, and/or DB2 and Oracle. In addition, knowledge of HTML, CSS, .Net, and Java script are also valuable skills. Understanding the importance of documentation and knowledge of unit and integration testing at the coding level is also important.

The ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences, including but not limited to team members, management, supervisors, and clients regarding design and issues. If you have strong leadership and problem solving skills and possess the ability to multi-task and thrive in flexible and changing environments, then you possess the special skills that will make you a successful part of our team.

Educational Information:

A college degree is preferred by not required.
