Below is a sampling of our experiences with JD Edwards Enterprise World software.

Hydraulic Product Distributor – A Briteskies consultant served as project manager for the implementation of JD Edwards Enterprise World financials at a $1.4 billion distributor of bearing and hydraulic products.

Mineral Mining and Distribution – A Enterprise World client that had not enabled multi-currency during implementation needed to activate multi-currency functionality in their live environment. Our consultant updated sales order processing, inventory management, and financial databases to restate historical information, and implemented balance currency restatement and multi-company consolidations to support multi-currency financial reporting.

Computer Equipment and Supplies Distribution – The client became a separate operating company and needed to restate financials for a change in the start of the fiscal year and restructure its chart of accounts to better match the new business operation. Using a combination of JD Edwards and third party tools; Briteskies restated JD Edwards data to the new fiscal year and new chart of accounts. The transition was completed over a weekend to avoid interruption of normal operations.

As part of a project to reconcile general ledger inventory balances to perpetual records in the inventory system, Briteskies developed a program to reconcile the “received - not vouchered” account. The program accumulates general ledger data by purchase order number and compares it to source files in the receiver system. Differences are reported by PO number, showing accounting personnel which receivers need to be analyzed.
